Dr. Eliot Goldman

Licensed Clinical Psychologist:

Psychotherapy, Evaluation, Coaching

Seeing a therapist is an important first step in finding relief and a greater sense of well-being. You may want to feel more empowered in your life, maintain healthier relationships, or cope better with life’s challenges. Perhaps you would like to heal from past trauma, deepen your self-understanding, or find a career path that better suits your strengths.

I strongly believe that therapy is a partnership. My first and most important job is to listen carefully in order to help you explore your current difficulties and concerns with understanding and compassion and to help you resolve your current difficulties and lead a more fulfilling life. Together we will focus on finding the best way forward while implementing practical solutions that can spur progress.

I am a licensed psychologist in New York State and telehealth licensed in Connecticut with 30 years of experience. I provide individual consultation, therapy, and coaching to adolescents and adults around a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, stress management, ADHD-related issues, relationships, work and career related difficulties, as well as life transitions.

Areas of Practice

Psychotherapy

I utilize a combination of evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy strategies, and insight-oriented approaches to explore current difficulties and suggest effective solutions.

Coaching

I specialize in a coaching/treatment model for clients with ADHD-related difficulties involving a thorough evaluation followed by work on 2 or 3 specific issues in a limited number of sessions. This focused intervention can help clients make significant progress in problematic areas that negatively affect their career and/or personal relationships.

Evaluation

I provide comprehensive assessments that focus on diagnosing ADHD, learning disabilities, or deficits that cause academic or work-related difficulties. I also implement tools to determine how these difficulties interfere with current academic and career progress or may interfere with personal relationships.
